Terms of service

braindump.work is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we are not liable for downtime, lost data, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

You are responsible for keeping your password and OpenAI API key confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. Notify [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to use the service to:

• Store or process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse the AI features to extract model weights, or otherwise probe the system.
• Resell, sublicense, or scrape the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion and without prior notice when the abuse is material.

When you use the brain-dump or prioritize features, your input is sent to OpenAI per their terms of use. OpenAI's response is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. We don't guarantee accuracy of AI-generated rankings or extracted tasks.

braindump.work itself is free during the initial release. If you use your own OpenAI key, OpenAI bills you directly. If you use the server's fallback key, we may apply a per-user monthly token cap; see Settings for your current usage.

If you connect Google Calendar, you authorize braindump.work to create, update, and delete events on your behalf in your primary calendar — limited to events corresponding to tasks you create here. We follow Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time from Settings — we will revoke our token and clean up the events we created.

Email [email protected] to delete your account. Your data — tasks, notes, notebooks, sessions, and encrypted OpenAI key — will be removed from our database within 7 days.

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be announced via the email address on your account.
